A White-winged Dove (Zenaida asiatica) feeds its babies at McGovern Centennial Gardens in Hermann Park, Houston, TX, USA. Two chicks per clutch is typical for doves like this, and it's not unusual for them to spend some time on the ground before learning how to fly. I'm not sure whether the adult here is the male or the female since both parents will raise the babies together, and adult males and females look very similar.
