King Krishna III of Malkhed built the Fort around 1200 years ago. Its approximate distance from the Ranthambhore National Park is 50 Km. The architecture of the Kandhar fort closely resembles the Shivneri Forts in Maharashtra. Surrounded by a canal filled with water, it is a place worth visiting if you pay a visit to Nanded.
