Life span of a hippopotamus

They live up to 40 years in their lifespan.  However, in some cases they can live up to 50 years in captivity.  They don't want to lose their power easily.  But they either live or die in the fight with the opponent.  They do not like to live a life of dishonor even if they accept defeat in any case.


এরা এদের জীবনদ্দশায় ৪০ বছর পর্যন্ত বেঁচে থাকে। তবে কোন কোন ক্ষেত্রে বন্দী অবস্থায় এরা ৫০ বছর পর্যন্ত বাঁচতে পারে। এরা তাদের ক্ষমতা সহজে হারাতে চায় না। কিন্তু প্রতিপক্ষের সাথে লড়াই এ এরা হয় বেঁচে থাকে অথবা মারা যায়। কোন ক্ষেত্রে তারা পরাজয় স্বীকার করে নিলেও অসম্মনের জীবন এরা অতিবাহিত করতে পাছন্দ করে না।
