Grand Canyon Rattlesnake (Crotalus oreganus abyssus)

Grand Canyon Rattlesnake, also called the Pink Rattlesnake, inhabits the Arizona and Utah states of the USA. Its colors, ranging from pink to grey, resemble the surrounding rocks, allowing it to blend into the Grand Canyon's stunning landscape. 

Unlike most nocturnal rattlesnakes, the Grand Canyon Rattlesnake prefers the cooler daylight hours to hunt for small mammals such as mice and rats. However, it may occasionally prey on birds.

Pata de Guanaco (Cistanthe grandiflora) the Atacama Desert, South America

The Atacama Desert is one of the driest places on Earth. According to the Encyclopaedia of Earth, there are around 550 species of plants living in the Atacama Desert with over 60% being endemic.
Early in 2015, the Atacama Desert received a significant amount of rain, seven years worth of rain fell in twelve hours. Sadly as a result of the storm, people were killed, and thousands were left homeless.

Star Flower (Stapelia grandiflora)

Perhaps more appropriately called the starfish flower, the Star Flower is another carrion plant (a plant that mimics the smell of dead flesh). Sought by plant collectors and gardeners because of its unique, striking appearance and large fuzzy flowers, this is a plant that is best kept outside. The colour of this plant’s flowers can range from deep reds and purples to lighter pinks, mauves, and yellow. It’s touchable, hairy, leathery flower may draw you in but it’s disgusting scent will send you running for the hills. Why? Because the Star Flower’s pollinator of choice is the fly, and what better to lure flies than the sweet, sweet smell of rotting meat!

In 2006, Al-Fateh became the site of the National Library of Bahrain.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (Arabic: جَامِع ٱلشَّيْخ زَايِد ٱلْكَبِيْر Jāmiʿ Aš-Šaykh Zāyid Al-Kabīr) is a mosque located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates.[1] It is the country's largest mosque, and is the key place of worship for daily Islamic prayers. There is a smaller replica of this mosque in Surakarta, a city in Indonesia.[2] The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan built this mosque to convey historic consequence and to embody the Islamic message of peace, tolerance and diversity.
