অনেকের মনে প্রশ্ন আসতেই পারে, পোষা মাছ হিসেবে লোনা পানির মাছ ভাল হবে নাকি মিঠা পানির মাছ ভাল হবে? এটি সহজ ভাবে বুঝার বিষয় হল মানুষ কোনটি পছন্দ করে। মিঠা পানির মাছ মূল্যের দিক থেকে বেশি সাশ্রয়ী। এজন্য যারা পূর্বে অ্যাকুরিয়ামে মাছ পুষে নি এবং এই বিষয়ে নতুন তাদের মিঠা পানির মাছ থেকেই শুরু করা উচিত এবং এর সাথেই শুরু করা উচিত।
লোনা পানির মাছ অ্যাকুরিয়ামে শুরুতেই রাখতে গেলে মাছদের জন্য পরিবেশ ঠিকভাবে ব্যালেন্স করাই মুশকিল হয়। তবে অ্যাকুরিয়ামের সামুদ্রিক মাছ গুলো যেমন সুন্দর তেমনি আকর্ষনীয় হয় দেখতে। তবে আপনাকে অ্যাকুরিয়ামের পানি যে কোন এক ধরনের হতে হবে। হয় সম্পূর্ন লোনা পানির না হয় সম্পূর্ন মিঠা পানির।
