White-Throated Sparrow

They are more common in winter and look like other common sparrows.  Although they are commonly seen in winter, they actually come from Canada.  Visitor birds visit throughout the year.  They can be easily distinguished because their beak and body color is slightly different from other birds.  Their full face pattern and white striped plumage make them stand out.

Marble White Butterfly:

Marbled white butterflies are found throughout most of Europe, southern Russia, Asia Minor and Iran.  They have isolated populations in Japan.  Its range increased in the United Kingdom in the late 20th century.  These medium-sized butterflies have white upper wings decorated with grayish-black or dark brown markings.

White Dwarf Fothergilla Flowers

A slow-growing deciduous shrub, dwarf fothergilla (Fothergilla gardenia) has a compact, mounded habit. Terminal bottlebrush-like spikes produce white flowers and yellow anthers that fill gardens with interest in April and May. "This plant has suckers. They need to be removed if you do not want colonies of these shrubs," says Langelo.
