ফিলিস্তিনের গাজা উপত্যকায় ইসরায়েলি বাহিনীর অভিযানে বুধবার ভোর থেকে বৃহস্পতিবার ভোর পর্যন্ত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় আরও ৪৮ জন নিহত এবং ৫৩ জন আহত হয়েছেন।
বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধ্যায় এক বিবৃতিতে গাজার স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয় জানায়, এ নিয়ে নিহতের সংখ্যা ৪৪ হাজার ৩৩০ জনে দাঁড়াল।
এ ছাড়া দক্ষিণ লেবাননের ৬০টি গ্রামে বাসিন্দাদের ফেরার ব্যাপারে সতর্ক করেছে ইসরায়েলি সামরিক বাহিনী (আইডিএফ)। বুধবার সকালে যুদ্ধবিরতি কার্যকর হওয়ার পর তিন দিনের মধ্যেই এ সতর্কতা জারি করা হলো।
আইডিএফ একটি মানচিত্র প্রকাশ করেছে, যেখানে একাধিক মাইল গভীর এলাকা চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে। তারা জানিয়েছে, এই এলাকায় ফিরে গেলে নাগরিকরা ঝুঁকিতে পড়বেন। খবর আলজাজিরা ও রয়টার্সের।
ইসরায়েলের প্রধানমন্ত্রী বেনিয়ামিন নেতানিয়াহু
গাজায় মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের দায়ে ২১ নভেম্বর ইসরায়েলের প্রধানমন্ত্রী বেনিয়ামিন নেতানিয়াহু ও তাঁর সাবেক প্রতিরক্ষামন্ত্রী ইয়োভ গ্যালান্টের বিরুদ্ধে গ্রেপ্তারি পরোয়ানা জারি করেছেন আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ আদালত (আইসিসি)। আইসিসির এই পরোয়ানা জারির পর নেতানিয়াহুকে তাদের দেশে গেলে গ্রেপ্তারের কথা জানিয়েছে ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়নসহ অনেক দেশ।
তবে সম্প্রতি আইসিসির এই আদেশ না মানার কথা জানিয়েছে হাঙ্গেরি। শুধু তাই নয়, নেতানিয়াহুকে তাদের দেশ সফরের জন্য উষ্ণ আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়েছে দেশটি। হাঙ্গেরির এমন কথার পর ফ্রান্সও ভিন্ন ইঙ্গিত দিতে শুরু করেছে। প্রাথমিকভাবে দেশটি আইসিসির বিধিনিষেধ মেনে চলার কথা বললেও এখন নতুন করে যুক্তি দাঁড় করাচ্ছে দেশটি। এ ক্ষেত্রে প্যারিসের যুক্তি, যুদ্ধাপরাধের জন্য ইসরায়েলি প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বিরুদ্ধে জারি করা ওয়ারেন্ট বৈধ নয়। কারণ, ইসরায়েল আইসিসির সদস্য নয়। ফ্রান্সের এমন যুক্তি দিতে পারে বাকি দেশগুলোও।
এদিকে ইরানকে আবারও হুমকি দিয়ে নেতানিয়াহু বৃহস্পতিবার বলেন, তেহরানের পারমাণবিক অস্ত্রের অধিকারী হওয়া ঠেকাতে তাঁর দেশ ‘সবকিছু’ করবে। শুক্রবার ইউরোপের বিভিন্ন দেশের সরকারের সঙ্গে পারমাণবিক কর্মসূচি নিয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এক আলোচনা শুরু করেছে ইরান। এমন প্রেক্ষাপটে মধ্যপ্রাচ্যে পরস্পর শত্রুদেশ ইসরায়েল ও ইরান এমন কথার লড়াই শুরু করল।
ভারতের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী এস জয়শঙ্কর বলেছেন, বাংলাদেশে সংখ্যালঘু-সংশ্লিষ্ট পরিস্থিতির ওপর ভারত গভীরভাবে নজর রাখছে। সংখ্যালঘুসহ বাংলাদেশের সব নাগরিকের নিরাপত্তার দায়িত্ব দেশটির সরকারের।
বাংলাদেশে হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের ওপর সহিংসতার অভিযোগ এনে ভারতের লোকসভায় করা পাঁচটি প্রশ্নের লিখিত জবাবে এসব কথা বলেন এস জয়শঙ্কর। শুক্রবার ওই প্রশ্নোত্তরগুলো প্রকাশ করেছে লোকসভা।
প্রশ্নের জবাবে জয়শঙ্কর বলেন, বাংলাদেশজুড়ে চলতি বছরের আগস্টসহ বিভিন্ন সময়ে হিন্দু ও অন্যান্য সংখ্যালঘুর ওপর সহিংসতার খবর দেখেছে ভারত সরকার। তাদের বাড়ি ও ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠানে সহিংসতা চালানো হয়েছে বলে জানা গেছে। সংখ্যালঘুদের মন্দির ও ধর্মীয় স্থানগুলোতেও হামলার খবর পাওয়া গেছে। ঘটনাগুলো গুরুত্বের সঙ্গে নিয়েছে ভারত।
চালতি বছর শারদীয় দুর্গোৎসবের সময় বাংলাদেশে বিভিন্ন মন্দির ও পূজামণ্ডপে হামলার খবর পাওয়া গেছে বলে জানিয়েছেন ভারতের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী। তিনি বলেন, ঢাকার তাঁতীবাজারে পূজামণ্ডপে হামলা এবং সাতক্ষীরার যশোরেশ্বরী কালীমন্দিরে চুরির বিষয়ে গভীর উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছে ভারত সরকার।
জয়শঙ্কর বলেন, বাংলাদেশে সংখ্যালঘু-সংশ্লিষ্ট পরিস্থিতির ওপর গভীরভাবে নজর রাখছে ঢাকায় অবস্থিত ভারতীয় হাইকমিশন।

তুরস্কের প্রেসিডেন্ট রিসেপ তাইয়েপ এরদোগান মুসলিম সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ দেশগুলোকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ হয়ে গাজায় ইসরায়েলি আগ্রাসনের বিরুদ্ধে পদক্ষেপ নেওয়ার আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন। তিনি বলেন, তুরস্ক মুসলিম বিশ্বের পক্ষ থেকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ পদক্ষেপ নেওয়ার জন্য নিরলস প্রচেষ্টা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। আমরা গাজা ও লেবাননের জনগণকে সাহায্য অব্যাহত রেখেছি। খবর আল জাজিরার।
এরদোগান উল্লেখ করেছেন, তুরস্ক ফিলিস্তিনিদের জন্য সর্বাধিক সাহায্য প্রদানকারী দেশগুলোর একটি। সেই সঙ্গে তুরস্ক ইতোমধ্যে গাজা ও লেবাননে ইসরায়েলি আক্রমণের বিরুদ্ধে তীব্র নিন্দা জানিয়েছে।
তুরস্ক এর আগেও হামাসের সঙ্গে একটি সম্ভাব্য যুদ্ধবিরতি নিয়ে আলোচনা করেছে এবং তাদেরকে এই প্রক্রিয়া এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য সুপারিশ দিয়েছে।
এরদোগানের এই বক্তব্য তার অঞ্চলে ইসলামি দেশগুলোর মধ্যে ঐক্যবদ্ধ পদক্ষেপ নেওয়ার গুরুত্বের ওপর জোর দেয়। গাজা ও লেবাননে চলমান সংঘাতকে কেন্দ্র করে এই আহ্বান নতুন করে আলোচনার কেন্দ্রবিন্দুতে এসেছে।
গাজী হাফিজুর রহমান লিকু, বাড়ি গোপালগঞ্জ সদরে। ছাত্র-জনতার অভ্যুত্থানে ক্ষমতাচ্যুত প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার একান্ত সহকারী সচিব-২ (এপিএস) ছিলেন। পদমর্যাদায় শীর্ষস্থানে না থাকলেও লিকু প্রভাব রাখতেন দল এবং সরকারের বিভিন্ন স্তরে। সাড়ে ১৫ বছর ক্ষমতাকে ‘আলাদিনের চেরাগ’ বানিয়ে অঢেল সম্পদ করেছেন তিনি।
দুর্নীতি দমন কমিশনের (দুদক) অনুসন্ধানে লিকু, তাঁর স্ত্রী রহিমা আক্তার, শ্যালক শেখ মো. ইকরাম ওরফে হালিম মোল্লাসহ স্বজনের নামে বিপুল পরিমাণ স্থাবর সম্পদ পাওয়া গেছে। অথচ স্বজনরা কেউই উচ্চ বেতনে সরকারি-বেসরকারি খাতে চাকরি কিংবা ব্যবসা-বাণিজ্যে জড়িত নন। ঘুষ, দুর্নীতি, দখল, চাঁদাবাজির দায় এড়াতেই লিকু কৌশলে বেশির ভাগ সম্পদ রেখেছেন স্ত্রী, শ্যালকসহ স্বজনের নামে।
দুদকের গোয়েন্দা শাখার অনুসন্ধানে এসব তথ্য উঠে এসেছে। এবার কমিশনের মানি লন্ডারিং শাখা লিকুর বিরুদ্ধে ঘুষ, দুর্নীতি, চাঁদাবাজির মাধ্যমে অবৈধ সম্পদ অর্জন ও বিদেশে পাচারের অভিযোগ অনুসন্ধান করছে। তাদের ব্যাংক হিসাবের তথ্য চেয়ে কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংকের আর্থিক গোয়েন্দা বিভাগ বিএফআইইউতে চিঠি দিয়েছে দুদক।
লিকু গোপালগঞ্জের বঙ্গবন্ধু সরকারি কলেজ ছাত্রলীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও পরে ভিপি হন। এর পর জেলা ছাত্রলীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও আওয়ামী লীগের কেন্দ্রীয় উপকমিটির সহসম্পাদকের দায়িত্ব পালন করেন। ২০০৯ সালে তিনি প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কার্যালয়ের অ্যাসাইনমেন্ট অফিসার নিয়োগ পান। ২০১৯ সালের ১১ ফেব্রুয়ারি সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রীর এপিএস-২ পদে নিয়োগ দিয়ে প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করে জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয়। পরে ২০২৪ সালের ২৯ মে লিকুর সে চুক্তি বাতিল করা হয়। দেশে রাজনৈতিক পালাবদল বা কোটা সংস্কারের আন্দোলন প্রবল হওয়ার আগেই ওমরাহ করতে সৌদি আরব গিয়ে আর ফেরেননি লিকু।
দুদক লিকুর স্ত্রীর নামে মেসার্স রাফি এগ্রো অ্যান্ড ফিশারিজ, মৎস্য ঘের, পৈতৃক জমিতে পাঁচতলা ভবন, শ্যালক হালিম মোল্লার নামে ছয়তলা বাড়ি, ঢাকায় ফ্ল্যাট, কুয়াকাটার লাইট হাউসের পাশে ওশান ব্লু রিসোর্ট, পরিবহন খাতে বিনিয়োগের তথ্য পেয়েছে।
লিকু ২০২৩-২৪ করবর্ষে রিটার্ন দাখিলে মূল বেতন ৬৭ হাজার টাকা এবং নিট আয় ৯ লাখ ৫ হাজার টাকা উল্লেখ করেছেন। এতে নিট সম্পদ দেখিয়েছেন ১ কোটি ৪ লাখ ৮৭ হাজার টাকা। সম্পদ হিসেবে গোপালগঞ্জ পৌরসভায় ১০ শতাংশ জমি, রাজধানীর উত্তরার ১৭ নন্বর সেক্টরে সরকারি প্লট, জীবন বীমায় বিনিয়োগ, ৬০ ভরি স্বর্ণালংকার, পিস্তল, শটগানসহ আসবাব উল্লেখ করেছেন। তবে দুদকের অনুসন্ধানে এসবের বাইরে স্ট্যান্ডার্ড চার্টার্ড ব্যাংক থেকে ১০ লাখ ২১ হাজার ও স্ত্রীর নামে ৫০ লাখ টাকা উত্তোলন-স্থানান্তরের তথ্য মিলেছে। মেট লাইফ আলিকোতে পলিসি রয়েছে ২৯ লাখ টাকার।
লিকু গোপালগঞ্জের কাশিয়ানীর রামদিয়াতে স্ত্রীর নামে মেসার্স রাফি এগ্রো অ্যান্ড ফিশারিজের জন্য প্রায় ৪৭০ শতাংশ জমি কিনেছেন। এ জমির দাম প্রকৃত মূল্যের চেয়েও কয়েক গুণ কম দেখিয়েছেন তিনি। কোটালীপাড়ার কুশলা ইউনিয়নের গোড়ার গ্রামসহ সদর থানার কাজুলিয়ায় প্রায় ৪০০ বিঘা জমিতে মৎস্য ঘের রয়েছে লিকুর।
খুলনা-ঢাকা-সাতক্ষীরা-গোপালগঞ্জ রুটে ‘ওয়েলকাম এক্সপ্রেস’ নামে ৪২টি লাক্সারি বাসে টুঙ্গিপাড়ার মো. কালুর সঙ্গে যৌথ বিনিয়োগ রয়েছে তাঁর। প্রতিটি বাসের দাম প্রায় ৫০ লাখ টাকা। শেয়ার রয়েছে ঢাকা মহানগরীতে চলাচলকারী ওয়েলকাম পরিবহনেও।
গোপালগঞ্জ সদরের থানাপাড়া রোডে পৈতৃক ভিটেয় লিকু প্রায় দুই কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে পাঁচতলা বাড়ি করেছেন। রাজধানীর মোহাম্মদপুর বছিলায় ‘মধু সিটিতে’ এক বিঘা জমিতে ছয়তলা ভবন করেছেন। লিকু আদাবরের ৬ নম্বর রোডের ৫৮৩ নম্বর বাড়ির এ-৬ ফ্ল্যাট কিনেছেন স্ত্রীর নামে। ধানমন্ডির ২৫ মিতালী রোড়েও রয়েছে বেনামি ফ্ল্যাট। সমুদ্রসৈকত কুয়াকাটার লাইট হাউসের পাশে কোটি টাকা খরচে ‘ওশান ব্লু রিসোর্ট’ করেছেন লিকু। সেটি দেখভাল করছেন তাঁর সেজো ভাই গাজী মুস্তাফিজুর রহমান।
দুদকের অনুসন্ধানে লিকুর বেনামি কয়েকটি বাড়ির তথ্য পাওয়া গেছে। এর মধ্যে গোপালগঞ্জ সদরের উত্তর গোবরায় ডুপ্লেক্স, একই স্থানে তিনতলা একটি ও সোনাকুড়ে নীলের মাঠের পাশে ১০ শতাংশ জমিতে একতলা বাড়ি। পৌরসভার ৫ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের বকুলতলায় খ্রিষ্টান কবরস্থানের পাশে ছোট ভাই গাজী শফিকুর রহমান ছোটনের নামে ৭ কাঠা জমি, ১৩ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের সাবেক কমিশনার হুমায়ুনের কাছ থেকে শ্যালকের নামে ১৫ বিঘা জমি কিনে পুকুর খনন ও ১১ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডে ভায়রা ওমর আলীর নামে চারতলা বাড়ি নির্মাণ করেছেন লিকু।
জানা যায়, গোপালগঞ্জ সদরে নিজ বাড়ির পাশে থানাপাড়া রোডে ছয়তলা বাড়ি করেছেন হালিম মোল্লা। শ্যালকের এ বাড়ি নির্মাণে পুরো অর্থের জোগান দিয়েছেন লিকু। গোপালগঞ্জ পৌরসভার ১৩ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের সোনাকুড়ে নীলের মাঠের পাশে ১৩ শতাংশ জমিতে হালিম মোল্লা তাঁর স্ত্রী স্বর্ণা খানমের নামে কমার্শিয়াল কাম আবাসিক ১০ তলা ‘স্বর্ণা টাওয়ার’ করেছেন। ভবনে সুইমিংপুলসহ মোট ৪০টি ফ্ল্যাট রয়েছে।
প্রায় ৫০ বছর আগে মারা গেছেন ময়মনসিংহের বড়বাজারের ব্যবসায়ী ফণীভূষণ ধর। তাঁর ছেলে সুনীল ধরও পৃথিবীর মায়া ছেড়েছেন। ফণীভূষণের নামে প্রতিষ্ঠিত ব্যবসা এখন চালাচ্ছেন তাঁর নাতি সুরজিত ধর পিপলু। তবে গত বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে আওয়ামী লীগের ভেরিফায়েড ফেসবুক পেজ থেকে দাবি করা হয়েছে, ‘ফণীভূষণ বাবুর ওপর আক্রমণ– হিন্দুরা কেউ এই দেশে ব্যবসা করতে পারবে না বলে হুঁশিয়ারি।’
ঘটনাটি কবে ঘটেছে, তা আওয়ামী লীগের পেজে শেয়ার করা ভিডিওসহ পোস্টে বলা হয়নি। একে হিন্দুদের ওপর সাম্প্রতিক নিপীড়ন দাবি করে জুড়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে সেভ বাংলাদেশি হিন্দু হ্যাশট্যাগ। ১ মিনিট ২৯ সেকেন্ডের ভিডিওতে দেখা যাচ্ছে, ফণীভূষণ ট্রেডার্সে বসে থাকা এক ব্যক্তিকে মারধর করছেন কয়েকজন।
সমকাল এই ঘটনার ২ মিনিট ৩২ সেকেন্ডের প্রকৃত ভিডিও পেয়েছে, সে অনুযায়ী হামলার ঘটনা গত ২৬ অক্টোবর রাত ৮টা ১৩ মিনিটে। স্থানীয়দের বরাতে পুরো ঘটনার বিবরণও পাওয়া গেছে। বড়বাজার ব্যবসায়ী সমিতির সাধারণ সম্পাদক সালমান ওমর রুবেল সমকালকে বলেছেন, হামলা নয়, দু’পক্ষের মারামারি হয়েছে। পূজার চাঁদা তোলা নিয়ে দ্বন্দ্বে জড়ানো দুই ব্যবসায়ীর দুই হিন্দু কর্মচারীর মধ্যে কথা কাটাকাটি থেকে মারামারির সূত্রপাত। এর পর ফণীভূষণের নাতি সুরজিত পিপলুর ওপর তাঁর দোকানে হামলা করেন আরেক ব্যবসায়ী রবিউল আওয়াল বাবলু, তাঁর ছেলে হুসাইন মোহাম্মদ মিলকান বান্টিসহ কয়েকজন। পরে দু’পক্ষই পরস্পরের বিরুদ্ধে মামলা করে এবং জামিনও নিয়েছে। ব্যবসায়ী সমিতি বিরোধ নিষ্পত্তিতে সালিশ করেছিল। তবে মামলার পর ঘটনার সুরাহা হয়নি বলে জানান সালমান।
রবিউল আওয়াল বাবলুর জামাতা শাহীনুর রহমান ময়মনসিংহ মহানগর যুবলীগের আহ্বায়ক। গত ২৫ মে বাবলু ও বান্টিকে অপর এক মামলায় আটকের পর পুলিশে দেয় সেনাবাহিনী।
বড়বাজারের ব্যবসায়ীরা জানান, গত ৩১ অক্টোবর তিনটি কালীপূজা হয় বড়বাজারে। রবিউল আওয়াল বাবলুর দোকানের কর্মচারী সুজিত দাসসহ কয়েকজন ২৬ অক্টোবর সন্ধ্যায় পূজার চাঁদা তুলতে ফণীভূষণের নাতি পিপলুর দোকানে যান। এ সময় পিপলু দাবি করেন, তিনি বাবলুর দোকানের ম্যানেজার রিপন দাসের কাছে টাকা পান। রিপন টাকা না দিয়ে ঘোরাচ্ছে। এ নিয়েই কথা কাটাকাটির এক পর্যায়ে সুজিতের গেঞ্জির কলার ধরে টান দেন পিপলু।
এ ঘটনার পর সুজিতের দোকান মালিক বাবলুর ছেলে বান্টি রাস্তায় এসে কলার ধরার কারণ জানতে চান। তখন তাদের মধ্যে আরেক দফা কথা কাটাকাটি হয়। প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীদের দাবি, সে সময় সুজিতকে মারধর করেন পিপলুর দোকানের সামনে থাকা পিকআপের শ্রমিকরা। এর কয়েক মিনিট পর ফণীভূষণের দোকানে গিয়ে চেয়ারে বসে থাকা পিপলুকে লাথি মারেন বান্টি, যা সিসি টিভির ফুটেজে দেখা গেছে। এতে আরও দেখা যায়, রবিউল আওয়াল বাবলু টেবিলে উঠে পিপলুকে লাথি মারছেন। রিপন নামে একজন চেয়ার দিয়ে পিপলুকে আঘাত করছেন। এ সময় সেন নামে আরেকজন হামলাকারীদের নিবৃত্ত করার চেষ্টা করেন।
২৭ অক্টোবর দু’পক্ষই ময়মনসিংহ কোতোয়ালি মডেল থানায় হামলার অভিযোগে মামলা করে। ৩০ অক্টোবর বাবলু, বান্টি ও রিপন ময়মনসিংহ সিনিয়র জুডিশিয়াল ম্যাজিস্ট্রেটের এক নম্বর আমলি আদালত থেকে জামিন পেয়েছেন। বাবলুর মামলায় জামিন পেয়েছেন সুরজিত ধর পিপলুসহ অন্য আসামিও।
কোতোয়ালি থানার ওসি সফিকুল ইসলাম খান বলেছেন, আওয়ামী লীগের ফেসবুক পেজ থেকে যা দাবি করা হয়েছে, তা সম্পূর্ণ গুজব। যে দু’জনের মধ্যে প্রথমে কথা কাটাকাটি ও মারামারি হয়েছে, তারা হিন্দু। পরে এতে অন্যরা জড়িয়েছেন। পুলিশ দু’পক্ষের মামলা নিয়েছে। এতে সাম্প্রদায়িক কোনো উপাদান নেই।
কারাগারে থাকায় বাবলু ও বান্টির বক্তব্য জানতে পারেনি সমকাল। সুরজিত ধর পিপলুর সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করা হলে প্রথমে তিনি জানান, তাঁর সামনে বহু মানুষ রয়েছে, আলাপ সেরে বক্তব্য দেবেন। এর পর আবার যোগাযোগের চেষ্টা করলে ফোন ধরেননি। কয়েকবার কল করার পর এক পর্যায়ে ফোন বন্ধ করে দেন পিপলু।
৫ আগস্ট ছাত্র-জনতার অভ্যুত্থানে ক্ষমতাচ্যুত হওয়ার পর আওয়ামী লীগের ফেসবুক পেজ থেকে দেশে ব্যাপক হারে সংখ্যালঘু নিপীড়নের দাবি করা হচ্ছে। পুরোনো ঘটনার ছবি এবং ভিডিও দিয়ে এসব দাবি করা হচ্ছে। অন্য সংঘর্ষের ঘটনাকেও সংখ্যালঘু নির্যাতন বলে চালিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে। একই কাজ করছে ভারতের সংবাদমাধ্যমও।
গত মঙ্গলবার ইসকনের বহিষ্কৃত নেতা ও সম্মিলিত সনাতন জাগরণ মঞ্চের মুখপাত্র চিন্ময় কৃষ্ণ দাসকে কারাগারে পাঠানোর সময় তাঁর সমর্থকদের হামলায় চট্টগ্রামে নিহত হন আইনজীবী সাইফুল ইসলাম আলিফ। এ ঘটনাকেও সনাতনীদের ওপর হামলা দাবি করে ওইদিন ৩ ঘণ্টায় পাঁচটি পোস্ট করা হয় আওয়ামী লীগের পেজ থেকে। এসব বিষয়ে জানতে দলটির ওয়েব টিমের প্রধান প্রকৌশলী তন্ময় আহমেদের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগের চেষ্টা করে সমকাল তাঁকে পায়নি।
জীবন রক্ষাকারী অর্ধশতাধিক ওষুধের দাম আবারও বেড়েছে। গত তিন মাসে কোনো কোনো ওষুধের দাম ১১০ শতাংশ পর্যন্ত বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। উৎপাদক প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো দাম বৃদ্ধির ক্ষেত্রে নিয়ন্ত্রক প্রতিষ্ঠান ঔষধ প্রশাসন অধিদপ্তরের নিয়মের তোয়াক্কা করেনি বলে অভিযোগ উঠেছে। সংশ্লিষ্টরা বলছেন, নিত্যপণ্য কিনতে হাঁপিয়ে ওঠা মানুষ এ ধাক্কা সামলাতে খাদ্যপণ্যে কাটছাঁট করতে বাধ্য হচ্ছেন। দীর্ঘমেয়াদে পরিবারের সদস্য, বিশেষ করে নারী ও শিশুদের মধ্যে দেখা দেবে পুষ্টি ঘাটতি। নিম্ন ও মধ্যবিত্তকে ওষুধের বাড়তি দাম চুকাতে হবে প্রাণের মূল্যে! যদিও ওষুধ প্রস্তুতকারী প্রতিষ্ঠানের কর্মকর্তারা বলছেন, জ্বালানি তেল ও ডলারের মূল্যবৃদ্ধির কারণে কিছু ওষুধের দাম সমন্বয় করা হয়েছে।
জানা যায়, অত্যাবশ্যকীয় ১১৭টি ওষুধের দাম নির্ধারণ করে সরকার। এর বাইরে যত ওষুধ বাজারে রয়েছে, বেশির ভাগ উৎপাদক কোম্পানির ঠিক করা দামে বিক্রি হচ্ছে। তবে এর জন্যও কিছু প্রক্রিয়া মানতে হয় কোম্পানিগুলোকে। নতুন দরের যুক্তিসহ অনুমোদনের জন্য ঔষধ প্রশাসন অধিদপ্তরে আবেদন করতে হয়। সরকার আমদানি কাঁচামালের সোর্স কান্ট্রি, দর, মানসহ বিভিন্ন বিষয় স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের সঙ্গে বৈঠকের মাধ্যমে যাচাই শেষে সমন্বয় করে। কিন্তু ঔষধ প্রশাসন অধিদপ্তরের একাধিক কর্মকর্তারা জানিয়েছেন, বিগত কয়েক বছরের মতো এবারও এ নিয়ম মানেনি কোম্পানিগুলো। বেশির ভাগ ক্ষেত্রে বাজারে দাম কার্যকর করে তা অনুমোদনের জন্য আবেদন করা হয়েছে। শুধু তাই নয়, বড় বড় উৎপাদক প্রতিষ্ঠান শুরু থেকেই সরকারকে চাপে রাখে। যৌক্তিক মূল্য নির্ধারণের সক্ষমতা না থাকায় অধিদপ্তরও মেনে নিতে বাধ্য হয়।
এমনিতেই মানুষ তাঁর উপার্জনের বড় অংশ নিজের কিংবা পরিবারের চিকিৎসায় ব্যয় করছে। গত তিন মাসে ওষুধভেদে ১০ থেকে ১১০ শতাংশ দাম বেড়েছে, গড়ে যা ২৯ শতাংশ। হঠাৎ দামের লাফে বিপাকে পড়েছে সাধারণ মানুষ। গত এক সপ্তাহে রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন ফার্মেসিতে অন্তত ৫০টি ওষুধ বাড়তি দামে বিক্রি হতে দেখা যায়। এসব ওষুধের মধ্যে আটটির দাম বেড়েছে ৫০ শতাংশের বেশি। ৩০ থেকে ৫০ শতাংশ ১১, ১০ থেকে ৩০ শতাংশ ২২ ও ৯টি ওষুধের দাম বেড়েছে ১০ থেকে ১১০ শতাংশ। বৃদ্ধির তালিকায় থাকা ২১টি ওষুধ স্কয়ার ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস লিমিটেডের। এ ছাড়া এসিআই, এরিস্ট্রো ফার্মা, সার্ভিয়ার ফার্মা, ইউনিমেড ইউনিহেলথ, ড্রাগ ইন্টার ন্যাশনাল, বীকন ফার্মা ও নুভিস্তা ফার্মার বিভিন্ন ওষুধের দাম বেড়েছে। বৃদ্ধির তালিকায় যেমন শিশুর সর্দি-কাশির সিরাপ রয়েছে; তেমনি রয়েছে অ্যান্টিবায়োটিক, ভিটামিন, ব্যথা, ডায়াবেটিস, উচ্চ রক্তচাপ ও হৃদরোগের ওষুধ।
ঝিনাইদহের দিনমজুর নজরুল ইসলাম উচ্চ রক্তচাপ ও ডায়াবেটিসে আক্রান্ত। তিনি জানান, সংক্রামক এ রোগ নিয়ন্ত্রণে তাঁকে মাসে ৪-৫ হাজার টাকার ওষুধ খেতে হতো। এখন লাগছে ৬-৭ হাজার। চাল-ডাল কিনতে নাভিশ্বাস ওঠা নজরুল কী করবেন, দিশা পাচ্ছেন না। একই অবস্থা রাজধানীর আজিমপুরের বাসিন্দা মো. শাহিনূরের। দুই মাস আগে হার্টে রিং বসিয়ে নিয়মিত ওষুধ সেবন করছেন। চিকিৎসকের ব্যবস্থাপত্র অনুযায়ী প্রতি মাসে তিন হাজার টাকার ওষুধ লাগছে। প্রাণ বাঁচাতে খাদ্যপণ্যে কাটছাঁট করে পরিবারকে কষ্ট দিচ্ছেন বলে আক্ষেপ করেন তিনি।
ফার্মেসি দোকানিদের তথ্যে, অনিয়ন্ত্রিত-২ ডায়াবেটিস রোগীর ব্যবহৃত এমজার্ড এম ট্যাবলেট ৫/৫০০ মিলিগ্রামের প্যাকেট ৫০০ থেকে হয়েছে ৫৪০ এবং ডাইমাইক্রন এম ৩০ মিগ্রা ৩৮০ থেকে হয়েছে ৪২০ টাকা। এমপামেট ৫ মিগ্রা+৫০০ ট্যাবলেট ১০০ টাকা বেড়ে ৬০০, এরিস্ট্রো ফার্মার প্লুভান প্লাস ৫০ মিগ্রা ২২০ টাকা বেড়ে ৭২০, লিনাগ্লিপ-এম ৫০০ মিগ্রা ৩৬০ টাকা থেকে ৪২০, কমেট ৫০০ মিগ্রা ৪০০ থেকে ৫০০, গ্যাস্ট্রিকের ফ্যামোট্যাক ২০ মিগ্রা ট্যাবলেট ৩০০ থেকে ৪৫০, মোটিগাট ১০ মিগ্রা ৩৫০ থেকে ৪২৫, ১০ টাকার অ্যানাফ্লেক্স ম্যাক্স ২১ এবং ২০ টাকার ভায়োডিন মাউথওয়াশ ৫০ টাকায় বিক্রি হচ্ছে।

অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারের কাছে বিচার চেয়েছেন ছাত্রলীগের সাবেক সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও ডাকসু জিএস গোলাম রাব্বানী। শুক্রবার (২৯ নভেম্বর) রাত সাড়ে ১০টায় ফেসবুকে নিজের ভেরিফায়েড আইডিতে এক পোস্টে নিজের বিরুদ্ধে ওঠা নানা ধরনের কর্মকাণ্ড ও দুর্নীতির অভিযোগের সুষ্ঠু তদন্ত দাবি করেছেন ছাত্রলীগের সাবেক সাধারণ সম্পাদক।
গোলাম রাব্বানী লেখেন, ‘রাজনৈতিক পথচলার প্রারম্ভ হতে বঙ্গবন্ধুর আদর্শ ধারণ করে দলমত নির্বিশেষে যেকোনো ন্যায়সঙ্গত দাবির প্রতি সংহতি-সমর্থন জ্ঞাপন এবং দুর্নীতি-অনিয়মের বিরুদ্ধে সাধ্যমতো প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছি, কর্ম-আচরণে দলের সুনাম ও জনসমর্থন বৃদ্ধির চেষ্টা করেছি।’
নিজ দলের কাছেও ন্যায়বিচার পাননি জানিয়ে তিনি বলেন, ‘যে দলের জন্য, লালিত আদর্শের জন্য জীবন যৌবনের শ্রেষ্ঠ সময়টুকু উজাড় করে দিয়েছি, কত-শত ঝুঁকি নিয়েছি, সেই দলের কাছ থেকে চরম অন্যায় আচরণের শিকার হওয়া, বারংবার আত্মচিৎকার করেও প্রাপ্য ন্যায়বিচার না পাওয়ার হতাশা-কষ্ট যে কতটা তীব্র, তা কেবল অন্যায় ভুক্তভোগীই অনুধাবন করতে পারে!’
জাবির সাবেক ভিসি ফারজানাকে বিষয়ে রাব্বানী লেখেন, ‘নিজের ও পরিবারের দুর্নীতি-অনিয়ম আড়াল করতে, জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রমাণিত মহাদুর্নীতিবাজ সাবেক ভিসি ফারজানা ম্যাডামের তথ্যপ্রমাণবিহীন, মনগড়া মৌখিক অভিযোগ ও কতিপয় স্বার্থান্ধের ষড়যন্ত্রে পরিকল্পিত মিডিয়া ট্রায়ালে, আনীত অভিযোগের বিপরীতে ‘আত্মপক্ষ সমর্থনের ন্যূনতম সুযোগ’ না পেয়ে, নির্ধারিত সময়ের আগেই দায়িত্ব থেকে পদত্যাগ করতে হয়েছে। যে পদত্যাগপত্রও আপার নাম ব্যবহার করে ছলনার আশ্রয়ে মিথ্যাচার করে নেয়া!’
তিনি আরও বলেন, ‘এখন আওয়ামী লীগ ক্ষমতায় নাই। তাই প্রভাবমুক্ত সুষ্ঠু তদন্তের মাধ্যমে আমাদের দায়মুক্তি ও দুর্নীতিবাজ ফারজানাকে বিচারের আওতায় আনার জোর দাবি জানাচ্ছি। যার বিরুদ্ধে ৬৬ কোটি টাকা অডিট আপত্তি, উন্নয়নকাজে ২৯ কোটি টাকা কমিশন নেয়াসহ শত-সহস্র অনিয়ম-দুর্নীতির তথ্যপ্রমাণ জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রশাসনসহ ছাত্র-শিক্ষক সবার কাছেই রয়েছে।’
পোস্টে গোলাম রাব্বানী সরকারকে কিছু চ্যালেঞ্জ দিয়ে লেখেন, ‘উদ্ভূত প্রতিকূল পরিস্থিতিতে বর্তমান দায়িত্বশীলদের নিরপেক্ষ যাচাইয়ের পূর্ণ সুযোগ রয়েছে বলেই আমি দ্ব্যর্থহীনভাবে চ্যালেঞ্জ করে বলছি— দল ক্ষমতায় থাকার সুদীর্ঘ সময়ে আজ অবধি বাংলাদেশের কোনো মন্ত্রণালয়, সরকারি-বেসরকারি কোনো দপ্তর থেকে ১ টাকার কোনো কাজের টেন্ডার বা আর্থিক সুবিধা সংশ্লিষ্ট কোনো তদবির করি নাই। সাবেক-বর্তমান কোনো এমপি, মন্ত্রী, আমলা বা অন্য কেউ বলতে পারবে না গোলাম রাব্বানী তাদের কাছ থেকে কখনো কোনো কাজ বা আর্থিক সুবিধা নিয়েছে!’
তিনি লেখেন, ‘‘ছাত্রলীগের নেতৃত্বে থাকাকালীন কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটি বা কোনো সাংগঠনিক ইউনিটের কমিটিতে কারও থেকে পদের বিনিময়ে ১ কাপ চা-ও খাইনি ইনশাআল্লাহ। বিভিন্ন কমিটি ও পদের ক্ষেত্রে এমপি-মন্ত্রী, নেতা, ব্যবসায়ীদের অনেক লোভনীয় অফার পেয়েও বিনয়ের সাথে তা ফিরিয়ে দিয়েছি। আমার নিজস্ব কোনো সম্পদ, প্লট বা ফ্লাট নাই। সুযোগ থাকার পরও অন্যদের অনুসরণ করে কোনো দিন সরকারি প্লট, ফ্লাটের জন্য আবেদন পর্যন্ত করি নাই। উপার্জনের বিকল্প মাধ্যম না থাকায়, ছাত্রলীগের শীর্ষ পদে থেকেও বেসরকারি চাকরি করে (গত জুলাই থেকে বেতন বন্ধ) জীবিকা নির্বাহ এবং নিজের হালাল উপার্জনের অর্থে দলমত-নির্বিশেষে অহর্নিশ অসহায় মানুষের জন্য কাজ করা, এমনকি অর্থাভাবে নিজের বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠানটা পর্যন্ত করতে না পারা আমাকে নিজ দলের ‘দুর্নীতিবাজ’দের মিথ্যা ষড়যন্ত্রে ‘দুর্নীতিবাজ’ তকমা পেতে হয়েছে, হায় সেলুকাস!’’
তিনি বলেন, ‘সঙ্গত কারণেই সংক্ষুব্ধ ভুক্তভোগী হিসেবে সুষ্ঠু তদন্ত সাপেক্ষে আমার সাথে হওয়া অন্যায়ের প্রতিকার তথা ন্যায়বিচার চাই।’
চট্টগ্রামের ফটিকছড়িতে নিখোঁজ হওয়ার ১৩ দিন পর সেপটিক ট্যাংক থেকে বস্তাবন্দি অবস্থায় তাবাসসুম (৬) নামের এক শিশুর মরদেহ উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। শুক্রবার সকালে উপজেলার দাঁতমারা ইউপির বড় বেতুয়া গ্রামে স্থানীয়রা বস্তাবন্দি মরদেহটি দেখতে পেয়ে পুলিশকে খবর দিলে পুলিশ তা উদ্ধার করে। নিহত ওই শিশু একই এলাকার আমান হোসেনের মেয়ে।
জানা যায়, গত ১৭ নভেম্বর বাড়ি থেকে নিখোঁজ হয় তাবাসসুম। পরের দিন ভূজপুর থানায় শিশুটির পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে একটি নিখোঁজ ডায়েরি করা হয়। নিখোঁজের দীর্ঘ ১৩ দিন পর (২৯ নভেম্বর) তাবাসসুমের পাশের বাড়ির একটি টয়লেট থেকে তার বস্তাবন্দি মরদেগ পাওয়া গেল।
শিশুটির চাচা রাসেল বলেন, আমরা সকালে জানতে পারি টয়লেটে বস্তাবন্দি মরদেহ পাওয়া গেছে। পরে গিয়ে দেখি মরদেহটি আমার ভাতিজির। আমার ভাই বিএনপির রাজনীতি করে। তাকে বিভিন্ন সময় মামলা হামলা দিয়ে হয়রানি করা হয়েছে। আমরা এ পরিকল্পিত হত্যাকাণ্ডের বিচার চাই।
এ ব্যাপারে ভূজপুর থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ গোলাম সরওয়ার বলেন, খবর পেয়ে পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে যায়। মরদেহ উদ্ধারের পর পরিবারের সঙ্গে কথা বলে পরবর্তী আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হবে।
কুষ্টিয়ার কুমারখালীতে গড়াই নদীর তীর থেকে মাটি কাটার মচ্ছব চলছে। উপজেলার যদুবয়রা ইউনিয়নের গোবিন্দপুর এলাকা থেকে স্থানীয় প্রভাবশালীরা প্রতিদিন শত শত গাড়ি মাটি কেটে ইটভাটায় বিক্রি করছেন। এতে হুমকিতে পড়েছে নদীর পাড়, গ্রামীণ সড়ক ও কৃষিজমি।
স্থানীয়দের অভিযোগ, স্থানীয় প্রভাবশালী জামাল, মিঠু ও যদুবয়রা ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের সদস্য আবুল কালাম প্রকাশ্যে গড়াই নদীর তীর ঘেঁষে ব্যক্তিমালিকানাধীন ও সরকারি খাসজমির মাটি বিক্রি করে তা বিভিন্ন ইটভাটায় বিক্রি করছেন। এতে হুমকিতে পড়েছে নদীর পাড় ও কৃষিজমি। ভেঙে যাচ্ছে গ্রামীণ সড়ক। মাটিবাহী ভারী যান চলাচলের কারণে গ্রামীণ সড়কে স্বাভাবিক চলাচল ব্যাহত হচ্ছে। তারা দ্রুত নদীর তীর ঘেঁষে অবৈধভাবে মাটিকাটা বন্ধের দাবি জানান।
গতকাল শুক্রবার সকালে সরেজমিন গিয়ে দেখা যায়, গোবিন্দপুর এলাকায় নদীর তীর ও সড়ক ঘেঁষে কলা, বেগুন, শাকসবজিসহ হরেক রকম ফসল চাষাবাদ হচ্ছে। আর গ্রামীণ কাঁচা সড়ক কেটে মাটিবাহী গাড়ি ওঠানামার পথ করা হচ্ছে। গড়াই নদীপাড়ের প্রায় ৫০ মিটার দূর থেকে ভেকু দিয়ে মাটি কেটে তা লাটা হাম্বা গাড়িতে রাখা হচ্ছে। সেখানে বেশ কয়েকজন শ্রমিক ও কয়েকটি লাটা হাম্বা গাড়ি রয়েছে। তবে শ্রমিকরা মাটি কাটার বিষয়ে কোনো কথা বলতে রাজি হননি। গড়াই নদীর পাড় ঘেঁষে মাটি কাটা গাড়ি চলাচলের পথ তৈরি করছিলেন স্থানীয় কৃষক মজিবর রহমান (৫৫)। তিনি বলেন, ব্যক্তিমালিকানাধীন জমি, এখানে ভালো ফসল হয় না। সে জন্য প্রতি গাড়ি ২৮০ টাকা দরে ভাটায় মাটি বিক্রি করছেন তিনি।
গোবিন্দপুর গ্রামের কৃষক টুটুল হোসেন বলেন, অবৈধভাবে মাটি কাটায় অন্যান্য কৃষি জমি হুমকির মুখে পড়ছে। রাস্তাঘাট ভেঙে চলাচলের অনুপযোগী হয়ে পড়ছে। নদীর পাড় ঘেঁষে অবৈধভাবে মাটি কাটা বন্ধে প্রশাসনের হস্তক্ষেপ কামনা করেন তিনি।
নাম প্রকাশে অনিচ্ছুক গোবিন্দপুর সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের এক শিক্ষক বলেন, শীতকাল এলেই নদীর পাড় ঘেঁষে থেকে মাটি-বালু কাটা হয়। শত শত অবৈধ গাড়ি চলে সড়কে। কোমলমতি শিক্ষার্থীরা অত্যন্ত ঝুঁকি নিয়ে চলাচল করে। তিনিও নদীর তীর থেকে মাটি কাটা ও গ্রামীণ সড়কে অবৈধ গাড়ি চলাচল বন্ধের দাবি জানান।
অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করে যদুবয়রা ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের ৭ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের সদস্য আবুল কালাম আজাদ জানান, কে বা কারা মাটি কাটছে তা তিনি জানেন না। দীর্ঘদিন ধরে তিনি সেখানে যান না।
অপর অভিযুক্ত জামাল হোসেন বলেন, তিনি টাকা দিয়ে কৃষকের কাছ থেকে মাটি কিনে ভাটায় বিক্রি করছেন। এটা অবৈধ কিছু নয়।
কুষ্টিয়া পাউবোর উপসহকারী প্রকৌশলী ইয়ামিন হক বলেন, চলতি বছরেই ওই এলাকায় নদী শাসন করে পাড় বাঁধা হয়েছে। মাটি কাটলে পাড় ধসে যেতে পারে। বিষয়টি প্রশাসনকে জানানো হবে।
ব্যক্তিমালিকানাধীন জমিতে পুকুর খনন বা মাটি কাটাও আইনে নিষেধ রয়েছে উল্লেখ করে উপজেলা সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) মো. আমিরুল আরাফাত বলেন, দ্রুতই গড়াই নদী তীরে অবৈধভাবে মাটিকাটায় জড়িতদের বিরুদ্ধে আইনগত ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।

বাংলাদেশ নাকি মৌলবাদীদের দেশ হয়ে গেছে, এমন প্রচার চালিয়ে দেশকে আবার অন্ধকারের দিকে নিয়ে যাওয়ার চক্রান্ত চলছে বলে জানিয়েছেন বিএনপির মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীর। তিনি ক্ষমতাচ্যুত প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার প্রতি ইঙ্গিত করে বলেন, সীমান্তের ওই পারে ফ্যাসিস্ট বসে আছে। ওখান থেকে নতুন নতুন ষড়যন্ত্র, চক্রান্ত করা হচ্ছে। প্রতিমুহূর্তে একেকটা ঘটনা ঘটিয়ে তারা পৃথিবীকে দেখাতে চায় বাংলাদেশ নাকি মৌলবাদীদের দেশ হয়ে গেছে। বাংলাদেশে নাকি সংখ্যালঘু সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষকে নির্যাতন করা হচ্ছে।
আজ শুক্রবার বিকেলে রাজধানীর কৃষিবিদ ইনস্টিটিউশনে ঠাকুরগাঁও ছাত্র পরিষদ আয়োজিত সমাবেশ থেকে দেশের বিরুদ্ধে যেকোনো চক্রান্ত রুখে দিতে ছাত্রসমাজের প্রতি আহ্বান জানান মির্জা ফখরুল। এ সময় ছাত্রদের উদ্দেশে তিনি প্রশ্ন রাখেন, বাংলাদেশে কি সংখ্যালঘু নির্যাতন করা হচ্ছে? তখন সবাই ‘না’ উচ্চারণ করেন। পরে তিনি বলেন, ভারতের পত্রপত্রিকায়, সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় এমনভাবে দেখানো হচ্ছে যেন বাংলাদেশে এ ধরনের নিকৃষ্ট ঘটনাগুলো ঘটছে।
মির্জা ফখরুল বলেন, ‘ঘটনা তো তা না। এটা তারা কেন করছে? কথাগুলো এ জন্যই বলছি যে আমাদের আনন্দে থাকার কোনো অবকাশ নাই যে আমরা জিতে গেছি, সব হয়ে গেছে। আমাদের মাথার ওপরে সেই খড়্গ এখনো আছে। এবং চতুর্দিকে তারা খুব চেষ্টা করছে আবার অন্ধকারে নিয়ে যাওয়ার। এর জন্য সজাগ থাকতে হবে কোনো রকমের হঠকারিতা, বিশৃঙ্খলা যেন কেউ করতে না পারে। সেটাকে রুখে দিতে হবে।’
ঠাকুরগাঁও ছাত্র পরিষদের সমন্বয়ক মিলন মাহমুদের সভাপতিত্বে সমাবেশে বক্তব্য দেন ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাবেক শিক্ষক শরিফ উদ্দিন আহমেদ, নর্থ সাউথ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক হোসেন শাহরিয়ার, বাংলাদেশ কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক আমির হোসেন, শেরেবাংলা কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক এরফান আলী, অধ্যাপক এস এম মাহবুবুর রহমান, তেজগাঁও সরকারি কলেজের অধ্যাপক সোলায়মান আলী, বিএনপির পল্লী উন্নয়নবিষয়ক সম্পাদক ফরহাদ হোসেন, নির্বাহী কমিটির সদস্য জেড মূতর্জা চৌধুরী, ঠাকুরগাঁও জেলা বিএনপির সাধারণ সম্পাদক মির্জা ফয়সাল প্রমুখ।
ছাত্র সংঘর্ষ, এটা একটা চক্রান্ত
ঢাকায় ছাত্র সংঘর্ষের ঘটনায় মর্মাহত হওয়ার কথা জানিয়ে বিএনপির মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল বলেন, ‘আমি খুব কষ্ট পাই, যখন দেখি আমাদের ছেলেরা-ছেলেরা মারামারি করছে কলেজে-কলেজে। যখন তোমরা এত বড় একটা বিজয় (৫ আগস্টের গণ-অভ্যুত্থান) অর্জন করলে, একটা ফ্যাসিস্টকে দেশ থেকে তাড়িয়ে দিলে, পৃথিবীতে একটা ইতিহাস সৃষ্টি করলে, সেই সময়ে আজকে আমাদের দেখতে হবে সোহরাওয়ার্দী কলেজ-মোল্লা কলেজের ছাত্ররা মারামারি করে রক্তাক্ত হয়ে যাচ্ছে। এটা তো কোনোমতেই গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়। এটা একটা চক্রান্ত, এটা একটা ষড়যন্ত্র।’
এ প্রসঙ্গে মির্জা ফখরুল সম্মিলিত সনাতনী জাগরণ জোটের মুখপাত্র চিন্ময় কৃষ্ণ দাস ব্রহ্মচারীর গ্রেপ্তার-পরবর্তী ঘটনা উল্লেখ করেন। তিনি বলেন, ‘আমি আবারও খুব ভীত হই, যখন দেখি ইসকনের নামে, ধর্মের নামে একজন আইনজীবী নিহত হয়ে পড়ে থাকে, রক্তাক্ত হয়ে পড়ে থাকে। এই বাংলাদেশ তো আমরা দেখতে চাইনি। আমরা তো একটা জায়গায় এসেছি। নতুন স্বপ্ন দেখছি, নতুন দিগন্ত দেখছি। সেখানে এ ধরনের ঘটনা তো আমরা দেখতে চাই না। এখন তোমাদের (ছাত্র) ভূমিকা আরও বেড়ে গেছে।’
‘হাসিনা পলাইছে’
ছাত্রসমাজ বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে অসাধারণ একটা কাজ করেছে বলে উল্লেখ করেন বিএনপির মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল। তিনি বলেন, ছাত্রসমাজ বাংলাদেশের মানুষকে রক্ষা করেছে দানবের হাত থেকে, ফ্যাসিস্টদের হাত থেকে। এটা কোনো ছোট কথা নয়। ফ্যাসিজমের বিরুদ্ধে খালি হাতে লড়াই করা প্রায় অসম্ভব। সশস্ত্র বাহিনী দরকার হয়। সে জায়গায় খালি হাতে কাজটি সম্ভব করেছে ছাত্রসমাজ।
ছাত্রদের উদ্দেশে মির্জা ফখরুল বলেন, ‘তোমরা যে কথা বলো, আমিও সব সময় বলি, আমার নাতনিও বলে এখন, হাসিনা পলাইছে। কেউ জিজ্ঞেস বলে সে বলে, হাসিনা পলাইছে। হাসিনা “পালিয়েছে” না, হাসিনা “পলাইছে”। এই কথাটাই কিন্তু চালু করতে হবে, পলাইছে। এটা এই জন্য বলা দরকার, এই ধরনের ফ্যাসিস্ট, এই ধরনের নির্যাতনকারী, এই ধরনের নিপীড়নকারী, খুনি, হত্যাকারী—তারা পালিয়ে যায়। সেই জায়গাটা মাত্র আমরা পার হয়েছি।’
এর পরে কী, সেই চিন্তা করতে ছাত্রসমাজের প্রতি আহ্বান জানান মির্জা ফখরুল। তিনি বলেন, এখন চিন্তা হবে বাংলাদেশকে তৈরি করা। কারণ, তারা (ক্ষমতাচ্যুতরা) শেষ করে দিয়ে গেছে। কোথাও অবশিষ্ট রাখেনি। অর্থনীতি ফোকলা করে দিয়েছে। ঘুষ-দুর্নীতিতে সমাজটা শেষ করে দিয়ে গেছে। এ অবস্থা থেকে ঘুরে দাঁড়াতে সবাইকে, বিশেষ করে ছাত্রসমাজকে ভূমিকা রাখার আহ্বান জানান তিনি।
মুর্শিদপুর পীরের দরবারে হামলা ও লুটপাটের ঘটনার পর পীরের অনুসারীরা লুটপাটকারীদের গাড়িতে আগুন দেন। শুক্রবার দুপুরে সদর উপজেলার লছমনপুর এলাকায়ছবি: প্রথম আলো
শেরপুর সদর উপজেলার লছমনপুর এলাকায় খাজা বদরুদ্দোজা হায়দার ওরফে দোজা পীরের দরবারে (মুর্শিদপুর পীরের দরবার) হামলা, অগ্নিসংযোগ ও লুটপাটের ঘটনায় আবার উত্তেজনা তৈরি হয়েছে। গত মঙ্গলবার প্রথম দফায় হামলার সময় সংঘর্ষে আহত একজনের মৃত্যুর জের ধরে গতকাল বৃহস্পতিবার আবার দরবারে হামলা, অগ্নিসংযোগের ঘটনা ঘটে। এরপর থেকে দরবারে লুটপাট চালাচ্ছিল একটি গোষ্ঠী। আজ শুক্রবার দুপুরে পীরের অনুসারীরা লুটপাটকারীদের ধাওয়া দিলে এ উত্তেজনা ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। এ সময় লুটপাটের মালামাল নিতে আসা কয়েকটি গাড়িতে আগুন ধরিয়ে দেওয়া হয়।
এর আগে গত মঙ্গলবার ভোরে মুর্শিদপুর পীরের দরবারে প্রথম হামলা ও অগ্নিসংযোগের ঘটনা ঘটে। তখন হামলাকারীদের প্রতিরোধ করতে গেলে সংঘর্ষে উভয় পক্ষের ১৩ জন আহত হন। তাঁদের মধ্যে হাফেজ উদ্দিন (৪০) নামের এক কাঠমিস্ত্রি বুধবার ঢাকায় চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় মারা যান। গতকাল দুপুরে তাঁর জানাজার নামাজের পর কয়েক হাজার বিক্ষুব্ধ লোক দরবারে হামলা, ভাঙচুর ও অগ্নিসংযোগ করে ব্যাপক লুটপাট চালায়।
স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, বিক্ষুব্ধ জনতা গতকাল দরবারের বিভিন্ন স্থাপনা আগুন দেওয়ার পাশাপাশি মূল্যবান আসবাব, গবাদিপশু, কাঠ, টিন, ধান-চালসহ টাকা লুটপাট করে নিয়ে যায়। এ সময় দরবারের বিভিন্ন স্থানের গাছও কেটে ফেলে। এতে পুরো দরবার শরিফ ধ্বংসস্তূপে পরিণত হয়। আজ সকালেও লুটপাট অব্যাহত থাকে এবং লুটপাটকারীরা কয়েকটি গাড়িতে লুটের মালামাল বোঝাই করতে থাকে। খবর পেয়ে পীরের কয়েক শ অনুসারী জোটবদ্ধ হয়ে দুপুরে দরবারে ঢুকে তাঁদের ধাওয়া করেন। পরে লুটের মালামাল বোঝাই কয়েকটি গাড়িতে আগুন দিয়ে পুড়িয়ে দেন। বিকেলে পীরের অনুসারীরা দরবার ত্যাগ করেন।

The whole upper floor of the Tropical Beach House is a self-contained studio apartment, featuring beautiful direct ocean views through large sliding glass doors, which lead out onto a large shaded balcony. It comes complete with air-conditioning, a fully-equipped kitchenette, dining table, king-size 4-poster bed and an en-suite bathroom with hot-water shower.
The Cabana in the tropical side garden is an air-conditioned bungalow and comes complete with a fully equipped kitchenette, an en-suite bathroom with a hot-water shower and a shaded veranda. The cabana has a double bed.
The property is normally rented as a whole or at a 20% discount, if guests do not require the Cabana and are prepared for that to be rented separately.

The Tropical Beach House at Hikkaduwa provides you with a very comfortable base from where you can enjoy everything that the area has to offer, such as surfing, diving, snorkelling, fishing or just basking on the beach in Sri Lankan sunshine.
For the duration of your holiday in Hikkaduwa, the villa's staff will be on hand to clean as often as you wish and attend to your every need. They will happily arrange local tours, Ayurvedic massages, diving trips, BBQs, meals to be prepared and anything else you can suggest.
The Tropical Beach House can accommodate a party of up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms (with 3 double beds and 2 twin beds). Bed linen and towels are provided and there is a cot if necessary. WiFi internet access is available throughout the beach house complex.
The ground floor of the Tropical Beach House, has two air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms - one king-size double and one with twin beds - a dining room and a fully-appointed kitchen. The whole upper floor of the Tropical Beach House is a self-contained studio apartment, featuring beautiful direct ocean views through large sliding glass doors, which lead out onto a large shaded balcony. It comes complete with air-conditioning, a fully-equipped kitchenette, dining table, king-size 4-poster bed and an en-suite bathroom with hot-water shower.
The Cabana in the tropical side garden is an air-conditioned bungalow and comes complete with a fully equipped kitchenette, an en-suite bathroom with a hot-water shower and a shaded veranda. The cabana has a double bed.
The property is normally rented as a whole or at a 20% discount, if guests do not require the Cabana and are prepared for that to be rented separately.
