Shortly after federal authorities took down a national college admissions scam in March, officials at USC launched their own investigation with emails to dozens of students.
They did not mince words: The school wanted to know whether the 33 students had lied on their applications to USC. Some of the students understood what was happening because their parents had been charged in the federal case. Others were in the dark.
The reason for the emails would soon become clear to them all. They had been linked to William “Rick” Singer, the confessed leader of the admissions con, and they now faced expulsion, depending on what university investigators discovered.

Figure 1: Kiptily and colleagues [3] observed fusion reactions in a donut-shaped vessel called a tokamak (gray). The red, blue, and pink balls represent protons, neutrons, and electrons, respectively. In each fusion reaction, a deuterium nucleus (one proton plus one neutron) merged with a tritium nucleus (one proton plus two neutrons) to generate a free neutron and an alpha particle (two protons plus two neutrons). The free neutron escaped the tokamak, whereas the alpha particle remained inside the vessel and heated electrons that spiraled along magnetic-field lines (green).

Warm tones are essential for creating a cozy and soothing environment. Opt for earthy shades such as terracotta, ochre, or beige to envelop your space in comforting warmth. These hues make a room feel more inviting while promoting tranquility and relaxation. If you prefer more subdued options, neutrals like cream and soft browns can provide a calming effect without being overpowering. Incorporating warm tones into your walls, bedding, or decor instantly transforms your space into a peaceful retreat. This color palette not only enhances the overall comfort but also adds a stylish touch, achieving a perfect balance between coziness and aesthetics. By embracing these warm tones, you create an environment that feels both serene and welcoming, making your room a perfect sanctuary for relaxation and style.
Curtains do more than just block out light—they add an extra layer of warmth and coziness to your space. Opt for thick, insulating fabrics like velvet or heavy cotton to combine style with comfort. The denser the material, the more warmth it offers, making your room feel snug and inviting. For added coziness, floor-length drapes can enhance insulation and create a sense of intimacy, transforming your room into a cozy hideaway from the outside world. These drapes not only provide extra warmth but also elevate the overall aesthetic of the space. With the right curtains, you can improve both the look and feel of your room, turning it into a perfect retreat where comfort meets elegance.
