Mehtab Bagh Agra
Mehtab Bagh, the moonlit garden, grew just across the northern waterfront of Yamuna when the Taj Mahal tajmahal was built on its south bank in Uttar pradesh. This place was once a heavenly garden with shaded pavilions, fountain jets, fragrant flowers and fantastic pools. But gradually the site became desolate. This site has now turned in to an epicenter for the project to establish protective green around the Taj Mahal. The interest in Mehtab Bagh has developed again recently due to the increasing concern for the Taj Mahal. Its grounds are facing a great threat due to too many tourists.

Mehtab Bagh is a 25 acre garden, square in shape, measures about 300 x 300 m and is perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal on the opposite bank. During the rainy season, the ground becomes partially flooded. The garden has fountains and pools along with several pavilions. Few of the gardens proportions were similar to that of the Taj Mahal. Mehtab Bagh came later in the possession of King of Amber, Raja Man Singh Kacchawa. Mehtab Bagh also joins two other gardens to the west. Originally, four sandstone towers marked the corners of Mehtab Bagh of which only one at the south east edge remains. The gardens also contain a large pond on its outer edges which reflects the image of the Taj. Apart from water channels that enhance the beauty of the park, there is also a small tank in the center of the garden.

The garden was ruined by frequent floods. Most of the damaged part was taken by villagers to use as building materials. The structures that remained within the garden are not maintained properly. ASI started some restoration in the 1990s. Recent excavations conducted by ASI revealed a huge octagonal tank equipped with 25 fountains on the southern periphery, a small central tank and a pavilion on the east. It is also known as the Moonlight garden as one can enjoy a spectacular night view of Taj Mahal on full moon day from here.

Mumbai with Goa Tour
Duration : 6 Days / 5 Nights
Destination Covered : Mumbai - Goa - Mumbai

Day 01: Arrival in Mumbai
On your arrival in Mumbai Airport meet our tour representative who further escorts you to your pre-booked hotel. Check-in and relax in your hotel. Rest of the time is to be spent at leisure. In the evening take a stroll around the locale if you wish to. Return to your hotel by evening, have dinner and stay overnight. Mumbai was given the name City of Dreams owing to tremendous opportunity it holds, mainly in Hindi cinema. The city is the capital of Maharashtra and overlooks the gamboling waves of Arabian Sea. Its cityscape might remind you of that of New York. But along with the bustling nooks, Mumbai has clung on to its heritage and history and takes immense pride in all of that. It is unarguable that this very city gives a cut-throat competition to even the most developed cities worldwide, let alone of India.

Day 02: Mumbai
Have your breakfast in the morning and proceed for Mumbai sightseeing session, which includes Elephanta Caves, Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Garden, Juhu Beach, Gateway of India and Marine Drive. Elephanta cave is located in Gharapuri (The City of Caves), approximately ten kilometers away from Mumbai Harbor. The caves consists mainly of two groups- Hindu Caves (consisting if five caves) and Buddhist Caves (consisting of two caves). This rock-cut architecture adopted for the caves is datable to a time between 5th and 8th century. However an apt date of its construction is yet a mystery but historians have concluded them to the time when Mauryan rulers were defeated by Badami Chalukyas in 635 AD. Back then, the Elephanta was the capital of Konkan Mauryas and was called Puri or Purika. The caves today are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Prince of Wales Museum is also known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. It was founded in 20th century in order to commemorate the visit of Prince Wales. There are about 50000 exhibits inside the museum divided into three categories- Art, Archeology and Natural History. Artifacts and relics of Indus Valley Civilization, Guptas, Mauryas, Rashtrakutas, Chalukyas and others are put here for public display. Other than this, you can behold beautiful prints, illustration of different wildlife species, paintings, manuscripts etc.
Just a few kilometers away from the museum is where the landmark of Mumbai stands, The Gateway of India. This structure was built in order to commemorate the visit of Their Majesties King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. Take a leisure stroll in the Hanging Garden, which is perched at the top of Malabar Hill, overlooking the beautiful Arabian Sea. This manicured terrace garden is festooned with a huge variety of plants and flower species. Juhu Beach, the popular beach of Mumbai is thronged with visitors. Some of Mumbai’s best street food and restaurants are located here. Marine drive is located in the heart of Mumbai, just beside a busy road. But the horns and screeches of city’s road don’t really interrupt the serenity that is attained here while sipping a cup of coffee and just simply unwinding.

Mann ki Baat unites India through culture, self-reliance & vision: Minister Sushanta Chowdhury
The 127th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio address 'Mann Ki Baat' was observed with reverence and enthusiasm across Tripura on Sunday.

A special gathering was organized at Booth No. 4 of the 9-Banamalipur Assembly Constituency, where Minister Sushanta Chowdhury joined party workers and local residents to listen to the broadcast.

Speaking at the event, Minister Chowdhury emphasized the significance of Mann Ki Baat as a platform that not only connects the Prime Minister with the people but also reinforces national unity and cultural pride. “Every last Sunday of the month, we listen to Mann Ki Baat with due respect, and today’s 127th episode was no exception,” he said.

Chowdhury highlighted the Prime Minister’s message celebrating India’s festive spirit, where diverse states celebrate their traditions with pride while remaining united under the larger fabric of national integrity. “Despite regional differences in customs and cultures, the Prime Minister’s words bring every state together, honouring our shared heritage and strengthening the bond of unity,” he noted.

The Transport and Tourism Minister also drew attention to key themes from the broadcast, including the emphasis on self-reliance, women and youth empowerment, and the promotion of indigenous products under the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative. “The Prime Minister continues to inspire us with ideas on how to develop our states and expand business opportunities,” he added.

In a special segment, PM Modi paid tribute to the national song Vande Mataram, calling it a symbol of India’s grandeur and urging citizens to commemorate its 150th year by upholding its values. He also praised grassroots initiatives across the country—from mangrove restoration in Gujarat to Garbage Cafes in Chhattisgarh and lake revival efforts in Bengaluru.

Chowdhury further remarked on the transformation of the Northeast under the current government. “The Northeast was once isolated, but today, through the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat and the visionary Look East Policy, Tripura and the entire region are progressing rapidly under the double-engine government,” he said.

Content Creator Madhabi Biswas arrested by Tripura Police
Tripura-based content creator Madhabi Biswas was arrested by the Tripura Police on Saturday following allegations of spreading objectionable contents on social media platforms.

She had reportedly crossed all her boundaries and targeted several individuals including high-profile politicians over the past few weeks.

The way she expressed and spoke were, according to many, offensive to modesty and decency and had the tendency to deprave and corrupt minds. Many feel that restrictions on speech and expression are necessary and justified to protect the overall societal interests.

According to police sources, the arrest followed multiple complaints from local residents who claimed that Biswas had posted videos and statements involving high-level figures deemed offensive and misleading.

Authorities stated that a case was registered under relevant sections, pertaining to the circulation of contents that could incite public disorder or harm reputations.

Biswas, known for her controversial contents on social media, often commented on political figures in Tripura in an indecent way. Her recent posts allegedly contained remarks targeting certain individuals and groups. Police officials confirmed that digital evidence was collected before taking her into custody.

Following the arrest, Biswas was taken for questioning at a local police station in Agartala.

The incident has prompted mixed reactions from the public. While some users on social media expressed support for Biswas and criticized the authorities for stifling free speech, others justified the action, arguing that online platforms must be used responsibly.
